This Amethyst is from Karur, which is deep in South India.  This location is incredibly diverse, with all kinds of inclusions present and some very funky shapes, including Amethyst flowers.  These crystals are much darker and more attractive than the Brazilian ones for sure...when they are good.  This area is very rich in metaphysical energy as voiced by my customers.  There are many inclusions like Hematite, cacoxinite, lepidicrosite, and this family of minerals.  There is also some pyrite and various other oddities.  The shape of the amethyst and depth of color give this locality its recognition.  Some of the best amethyst specimens in the world have come from here.
